Cherry Chocolate Crockpot Brownies are the easiest melt in your mouth dessert you will ever try! Serve this crockpot dessert a la mode with toasted almonds!

A bowlful of cherry chocolate crockpot brownies ala mode.

I'm super excited to share this recipe with you!  I've noticed a lot of "dump cake" recipes floating around lately, but not any for brownies.  I was also in a bit of a cherry mood so these cherry chocolate slow cooker brownies were born!  My family likes to have a Sunday night dessert and I don't always feel like putting a lot of effort into it.  Actually it is more like I don't want to spend my Sunday evening cleaning up after one of my baking messes.  This is why I like slow cooker desserts.  Very little mess.  Very little effort.  And all the deliciousness!  I served these a la mode and topped with toasted almonds.  Yum!

How to make Cherry Chocolate Crockpot Brownies"

  1. Spray a 6 quart slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Evenly spread a 21 oz can of cherry pie filling in the bottom.
  3. Mix a package of brownie mix according to package instructions with the addition of 2 tsp almond extract.  Spread the brownie batter over the top of the cherries.
  4. Put on the lid and cook on High for 2 hours and 15 minutes.  A toothpick should come out with crumbly brownie crumbs.
  5. Serve immediately with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and toasted almonds if desired.
