- ½ Cup Shortening
- ¾ Cup Creamy Peanut Butter
- 1 ¼ Cups Brown Sugar
- ¼ Cup Milk
- 1 Egg
- ¾ teaspoon Baking Soda
- ¾ teaspoon Baking Powder
- 2 Cups Flour
- Chocolate Chips for the tops
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Spray baking sheets with non-stick cooking spray or line them with parchment paper.
In a large bowl or a mixer fitted with a paddle, cream the shortening, peanut butter, and brown sugar with it is well combined. Stir in the milk and egg.
Add the salt, baking soda, and flour.
Drop cookie dough onto the prepared cookie sheets by tablespoonfuls. Using a fork, press a crisscross pattern into each ball of dough. Top with 3 chocolate chips.
Bake at 375 degrees for 8-9 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
