Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients

  • ½ Cup Shortening
  • ¾ Cup Creamy Peanut Butter
  • 1 ¼ Cups Brown Sugar
  • ¼ Cup Milk
  • 1 Egg
  • ¾ teaspoon Baking Soda
  • ¾ teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 2 Cups Flour
  • Chocolate Chips for the tops

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Spray baking sheets with non-stick cooking spray or line them with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl or a mixer fitted with a paddle, cream the shortening, peanut butter, and brown sugar with it is well combined. Stir in the milk and egg.
  • Add the salt, baking soda, and flour.
  • Drop cookie dough onto the prepared cookie sheets by tablespoonfuls. Using a fork, press a crisscross pattern into each ball of dough. Top with 3 chocolate chips.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 8-9 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
