Irresistible Chocolate Mousse Pie

This irresistible chocolate mousse pie is silky smooth, rich, chocolaty and well...irresistible. It's as easy to make as it is delicious!

Ingredients

  • inch One 9 Oreo Pie Shell
  • ½ Cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 Cup Chocolate Chips Milk Chocolate or Semi-sweet
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • Pinch of Salt
  • 1 Cup Heavy Cream
  • Cup Sugar

Instructions

  • Over a double boiler or very carefully in the microwave heat ½ cup cream, chocolate chips, vanilla and a pinch of salt until chocolate chips are melted and everything whisks together smooth.
  • Cool chocolate mixture to room temperature.
  • In a small bowl, whip 1 cup of cream and ⅛ cup of sugar until stiff peaks form.
  • Carefully fold the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture.
  • Pour into the oreo pie shell and chill for at least 6 hours.
  • Top with additional whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or jimmies if desired.
