Units Scale
  • 1/2 cup Wheat Flour
  • 1/2 cup Quick Oats
  • 3/4 cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 1/4 cups Buttermilk
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/4 cup Canola Oil
  • 1 tsp Vanilla


  1. Heat up your griddle!
  2. In a mixing bowl whisk together the whole wheat flour, all purpose flour, quick oats, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Stir in the buttermilk, egg, canola oil and vanilla.
  4. Scoop out the batter by heaping 1/4 cupfuls and dump onto your hot griddle.  Pat the batter out into circles slightly with the back of your scoop.
  5. Cook both sides until golden!
  6. Serve!
